A life long resident of the 3800 block of Gratz Street in the heart of Nicetown-Tioga, LaMott Ebron is a energetic community organizer, who has committed his life to public service. Growing up in a single parent home, LaMott
has experienced first hand the struggles of life in today’s urban
society and has a focus on finding solutions to the issues that hinder
our community from moving forward.
Six years after graduating from Simon Gratz High School, LaMott returned to serve as the School District of Philadelphia's youngest School Advisory Council Chair, as the school transitioned into a Mastery Charter School. Once serving as Philadelphia’s youngest ward leader and a member of City Committee at the age of 22, LaMott was responsible for the discovery of hundreds of cases of election fraud committed by a faction of the city’s Republican party.
LaMott has organized and held several anti-violence events over the course of the past three years in the Nicetown area, in the form of the Jarrett (G-Baby) Gore Basketball Tournament, directly targeting the community’s at risk youth.
